My name is Sgt XXXXXXXXX. I'm a sniper XXXXXXXXXXXX. I'm in the smallest unit in the whole brigade and we need help. This is the story, we have 3 rifles, a XXX with no spare parts.. we have a XXXX with no scope or scope mount, and a XXXXXXX that we cant even use. No binos, 1 spotting scope and our unit cant get us the rest of the equipment we need. We've struggled yet improvised in every way... We get the job done but it would help so much to have our needs met. I've never been much of a begger and I've found yalls website from time to time but I never thought I'd need to ask for help until now. I'm not too familiar with how to go about this so I found your email and I'm giving it a shot. I'm able to check my email pretty often so I look forward to your reply. My name is Sgt. XXXXXXXX. I am currently serving in the XXXXXXXXXXX under a duel billet. I am a truck team leader in a PSD, as well as a scout sniper.

Due to man power issues in the battalion our sniper platoon has been disbanded and five other scout snipers, as well as myself, are in the same position. We are given our rifles with little sustainment training and we use the minimal gear that we acquired prior to disbandment or what we have purchased on our own. Since our disbandment any requests that we have made for the gear we need to effectively and efficiently complete our jobs as snipers has been denied or has not been responded to.

On behalf of myself and my fellow snipers in the battalion, I am sending this letter in regards to obtaining reliable laser range finders for our upcoming deployment to Iraq. We currently have 1 set of lieca 21's within the battalion, but it is issued to the air officer who will not be joining us on our mission to Iraq.
